San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, March 12, 2025.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0A tragic traffic accident that occurred on the Eastern Highway, at kilometer 10 in the Cumayasa area, resulted in the death of\u00a0\u00a0Ruth Delania Sosa Marte<\/strong>\u00a0, a resident of the\u00a0\u00a0Barrio Lindo<\/strong>\u00a0sector \u00a0of San Pedro de Macor\u00eds.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred in the afternoon when a\u00a0\u00a0gray\u00a0\u00a0Mazda Demio vehicle was traveling\u00a0<\/strong>east-west<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0with three occupants on board. The car was driven by\u00a0\u00a0Angela Merici Ubiera Sosa<\/strong>\u00a0, who was traveling with\u00a0\u00a0Maribel Sosa Polanco<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0and the deceased,\u00a0\u00a0Ruth Sosa<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n

After the impact, the two survivors suffered injuries and were rushed to\u00a0\u00a0Villa Hermosa Hospital<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0in La Romana for medical attention.<\/p>\n

The deceased\u2019s body was removed by forensic doctor\u00a0\u00a0Dr. Benito Kelly<\/strong>\u00a0, while the damaged vehicle was taken to the\u00a0\u00a0Digesett Headquarters<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0in La Romana for further investigation. Fortunately, the incident did not cause damage to state infrastructure or private property.<\/p>\n

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the accident. Meanwhile, family and friends deeply mourn the loss of\u00a0\u00a0Ruth Sosa<\/strong>\u00a0, fondly remembering her in her community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
